Your mission:

Oversee and direct the sales activities in the Midwest. Your main goal is to maximize sales and revenue in the region and cultivate new and existing relationships with customers. You’ll work closely with our management and support teams to develop strategies to grow and support market share.

Think of yourself as the “CEO” of this territory. You will be competing only with yourself and you will have a team behind you that is invested in your growth and success.

Your Impact:

You'll be at the forefront of our growth, directly impacting our expansion in the Midwest and beyond. This isn't just a job; it's an opportunity to:

  • Own Your Territory: Build and manage relationships with government officials, procurement specialists, and directors across. You’ll start by taking over and growing an existing customer base in Michigan, Minnesota and Indiana, with plans to expand to Ohio, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Missouri.
  • Drive Innovation: Contribute to and refine our business development strategy, working closely with our Director of Sales.
  • Become a Tech & Sales Expert: Master our platform, conduct product demos, and deliver compelling presentations and webinars.
  • Be a Problem Solver: Manage auction sales support, including onsite visits, inventory management, and content creation.
  • Expand Your Network: Attend industry events, cultivate new leads, and qualify existing relationships as potential clients.
  • Shape Our Marketing: Contribute to outbound marketing initiatives, both digital and traditional.
  • Influence Proposals: Assist in developing winning proposals for RFPs.

What you’ll bring:

  • Sales & Account Management Foundation: You have experience in a sales, business development, or account management role where you've contributed to achieving team or territory goals.
  • Customer Interaction Skills: You're comfortable being a point of contact for customers, enjoy building rapport, and have experience maintaining positive client relationships.
  • Strong Communication: You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and are developing your interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
  • Analytical Aptitude: You have an ability to look at sales information or customer feedback to spot basic trends, identify potential opportunities, or flag potential issues.
  • Strategic Thinking Potential: You understand the importance of tailoring your approach and have likely contributed to sales plans, outreach efforts, or event support.
  • Detail-Oriented & Eager Learner: You have solid reading comprehension and writing skills, and you're willing to learn how to navigate processes like proposal development.
  • Tech Savviness: You're comfortable using technology and are familiar with (or eager to quickly master) tools like CRM systems and basic sales/marketing software (e.g., email marketing).

What we require:

  • The ability to thrive in a remote, autonomous environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time, including overnight trips.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
  • You live somewhere with reasonable and efficient access to major highways and an airport.
  • Ability to lift and transport 50-80lbs.
  • A proactive, self-starting attitude with a drive to succeed.

Location:

This is a remote opportunity based in the Midwestern United States. Travel to corporate and satellite offices may be required for strategic meetings.
